Beginning March 16th, 2020, Carnegie Hill Pediatrics has started a new policy of separating sick and well visit times in our office.
We will only be seeing healthy checkups and non-infectious follow-up visits from 8.30am until 2pm. It is more important than ever to be sure that children are up to date with routine vaccines.
After 3pm we will see those sick patients that need to be examined in person. Sick patients will be immediately escorted to examination rooms.
All examination rooms will be thoroughly cleaned between visits.
We are now offering telemedicine visits so that you can have the expertise and the benefit of seeing a doctor without actually coming in to our office. We know that sometimes it's difficult to tell if an illness is "mild" or if you need to take your child to the ER. Even though we may not be able to listen to your child with a stethoscope, there's a lot we can tell by just looking at a child via a video visit. Please call our office to schedule a telemedicine visit.
We will continue to provide safe, quality care to all our patients in these trying times and do our utmost to protect you from the coronavirus.

At this time, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommend avoiding all nonessential travel to China and South Korea. The CDC has also issued Level 2 travel warnings for Iran, Italy, and Japan, advising travelers to these countries to practice enhanced precautions, including avoiding contact with sick people and performing hand hygiene. In addition, older adults and those with chronic medical conditions are encouraged to consider postponing nonessential travel.
If you are planning any international travel, we encourage you to review current CDC Travel Guidelines and visit Risk Management’s international travel website for additional resources and information.
